Spoonbräu 2018 - Slasherwave / Darksynth (CA)

Darksynth for metalheads. Is the keyboard greety enough to sharp like a guitar or the latter so much distorted to sound like a laser? Well, just bang you head and crack your neck on it. Favorite track: Killing It.

FLESH MECHANIC
Blast beats, distorted guitars and synths unite in a triforce that caters to both metal and darksynth fans and gives them what they love in spades. If you like Sonic Mayhem's soundtrack to Quake II, you'll be in heaven here, because it's very similar. The mechanical sounds in the slower, tank-like song Killing It instantly made me think of eliminating the Strogg with my Super Shotgun while my biomechanical enemy keeps sending in more grotesque hybrids of man and machine, similar to this album.
Favorite track: Long Roads.

SokK You love Metal and DarkSynth and cannot decide which one you prefer ? Then Gör FLsh is for you ! Heavier and more "serious" than his previous work, For The Kvlt is an Electronic Doom Metal Mayhem that wil push your subwoofer to suicide.
I highly recommend it to you, unless you are a subwoofer. Favorite track: Last Blood.

time Most of us have probably drawn comparisons to metal when it comes to the genre of darksynth, but Gör FLsh is one of the very few who can be directly compared to a specific sub-genre of metal. In this case the direction of (extreme) doom.

His unique, heavily-distorted doomy, metallic darksynth takes the genre forward and, as such, is definitely worthy of a spot on my list of top 2018 albums.

Favorite track: For The Kvlt.

about

Following two single releases during 2017 ('Long Roads' and 'Last Blood') and a few remixes, Canada's heaviest Electronic music offering is back with his second long play album.

Continuing the one man Synth Metal band moniker and sound he pioneered back in 2011, Quebec City native Raphael Durand has always been a musical 'outsider'. Too Metal for Electronic music fans and too Electronic for traditional Metalheads, Gör FLsh was never interested in following music trends. Not being on a quest for fame freed him from any rules set by genres and his sophomore album 'For The Kvlt' is the perfect proof of that as it sets new standards for what both Electronic and Metal music can be.

Coming with eight brand new original tracks and the two singles 'Long Roads' and 'Last Blood', this is definitely Gör FLsh's most mature work to date both composition and production-wise. Dark and probably heavier than any other Electronic music album you'll listen to in a while, 'For The Kvlt' manages to strike all the right chords and find the right balance between melodic and brutal, old and modern, always with a touch of Sludgy/Doom-y heaviness.
