Swedish Darksynth act Midnight Danger doesn't need any introductions. His debut album and live shows have taken the world of Synthwave by storm the last couple of years. Extensive touring and a constantly evolving live show might have kept Chris Young from producing a new album but that doesn't mean he couldn't participate in "Powersynth" with one of his older classic tracks. Originally produced back in 2016, this is a remastered version of "Darkness Approaches", a song originally written as a tribute to the movie "The Wraith".

about

JST Records proudly presents “Powersynth Vol.01”!

A collection of some favorite tracks by artists you might have heard of (or not). Featuring new as well as previously released material, this compilation was specially curated to feature 18 artists who we deemed worthy of the description “powersynth”.

Whether it’s high octane Outrun or high energy aggressive Synthwave, “Powersynth” is here, it’s loud and it most definitely is not (synth)pop.

A big thank you to all the artists who agreed to participate and trust us with their music and to Anthony Galatis who took care of all the visuals and artwork (wow!).
